Education without Borders 2016
The Royal College of Physicians, London
8am - 6pm, 15th November 2016
The challenges facing Universities, Colleges and Schools with regard to international programmes are unique and significant. The number of students and staff travelling or living overseas is large and individuals are often in high risk countries or engaged in remote fieldwork. Communications are, at best, infrequent and generally less often than for business travellers. The problem is exacerbated by the multi stakeholder nature of the organisations making more difficult the development and implementation of appropriate travel and accommodation risk management plans. Tracking, crisis management, occupational health, insurance and managing incidents and media are some of the issues that need to be considered.
